List A Barristers are usually briefed by solicitors or in-house counsel, and can also be briefed directly by people without a solicitor as long as the briefing complies with the direct access rules of the Victorian Bar.
List A Barristers are generally retained by Australia’s leading commercial law firms, however, barristers may be directly briefed by:
- international law firms
- professional bodies approved under the rules
- government departments and agencies.
Contact the Clerking office if you have an inquiry about whether direct access briefing is an option for your matter or organisation. |
