The Members and staff of List A congratulate Associate Justice Mark Derham on his appointment as an Associate Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 11 December 2012.
His Honour joined the Bar in 1980, and is one of Victoria’s foremost commercial litigation practitioners, having been appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1994. He is a former Chairman of the Bar Council and Barristers Chambers Ltd.
He has appeared in many of the major commercial trials and appeals in the Supreme Court and the Federal Court over the past 30 years.
We wish him well in his new role, confident that his intellect and even-tempered nature will make a significant contribution to the work of the Supreme Court.
