Declan has over 30 years’ experience as Counsel, joining the Victorian Bar in 1989, following four years with national commercial firms in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

He has a broad commercial law practice, focused on achieving the best outcome for clients. Areas of work include contract, company law, insurance, insolvency, fiduciary duties, banking, mortgages & securities,competition and consumer law, professional negligence and equity. He also has considerable experience in real property law and in mediations and commercial negotiation.

Declan appears predominantly in the Supreme Court and Federal Court jurisdictions, both first instance and appeal, but is happy to appear in all forums.
