Allan has a broad commercial practice. He has experience in commercial law, mining resources and energy, property law, constitutional law, administrative law, taxation and revenue and Royal Commissions. Allan is also an Accredited Mediator under the National Standards Accreditation Scheme.
Allan has appeared as counsel in many large and complex matters in courts in Australia and internationally. He has appeared in hundreds of appeals in all jurisdictions in Australia including in the High Court of Australia. He appears in arbitrations in Australia and abroad. He acts as arbitrator in many Australian and international arbitrations.
Allan became a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in January 2016.
