Anna Lord

Anna practises in public and commercial law. She is briefed to advise and appear in competition and consumer law and other regulatory proceedings, as well as in administrative and constitutional law matters. Anna has represented the State government in a range of royal commissions and inquiries.

Before coming to the Bar, Anna was a Senior Lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor.  Anna acted for the Commonwealth in large litigation matters.  Anna was also seconded to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Anna was previously an associate to the Honourable Justice Keane AC at the Federal Court of Australia and the Queensland Court of Appeal, and to the Honourable Chief Justice Michael Black AC at the Federal Court of Australia.

Anna also lectured in public law and statutory interpretation at Monash University.

Anna has a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, where she studied as a Lionel Murphy Scholar, and degrees in Arts and Law with first class honours from the University of Queensland.
