Julie Dodds-Streeton KC has returned to the Victorian Bar after retiring as a Reserve Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria. She was called to the Bar in 1988 and specialised principally in equity, corporations and insolvency law. She was appointed senior counsel in 2001. In 2002, she was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria and in 2007 was appointed to the Court of Appeal. In 2010 she was appointed to the Federal Court of Australia.

After serving in the Federal Court until 2014, Julie was appointed a Reserve Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Julie was a Senior Lecturer at Melbourne Law School where she taught corporations law, insolvency, equity, intellectual property, contract and property law. She has served on numerous bodies including, most recently, the Commonwealth Government Expert Advisory Panel for the Future Submarine Program, the Commonwealth Bank Open Advice Review Program and the Anglican Church of Australia (Melbourne Diocese) Professional Standards Review Panel. She was Judge in Residence at Melbourne Law School and prepared for the ACT Government the Analysis Report on the Implementation of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse Recommendations.
