Mark Hosking

Mark practises in commercial and public law.  He is regularly briefed to advise and appear in proceedings in a range of areas, including corporations and financial services law, contract disputes, constitutional law and administrative law.

Mark has appeared in the High Court of Australia, and in trials and appeals in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia.  In 2018, Mark was part of the team of counsel assisting the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

Before coming to the Bar, Mark was an associate to the Hon Justice Crennan AC at the High Court of Australia and a solicitor at Allens.

Mark has degrees in commerce and law from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Law from the University of Cambridge. Mark studied at Cambridge as a Cambridge Trust Scholar and received the B R D Clarke Prize for Best Overall Performance in the LLM, the Chancellor’s Medal for English Law, and the Gareth Jones Prize for Restitution.
