Xuelin has acted for numerous Australian and international corporations and government bodies in commercial, professional negligence, insolvency and administrative law disputes. They include class actions and contract, insurance, consumer law, shareholder, corporations law, directors’ duties, construction, property and land compensation disputes. She has appeared in superior courts (including the High Court, Federal Court and Victorian Supreme Court), Federal and State tribunals and commercial arbitrations. She has also been briefed to provide opinions. Her clients have included CBA, AMP, Toyota, Myer, Bega, Murray Goulburn, Nippon Paint, Development Victoria, Head, Transport for Victoria, Racing Victoria, water authorities and insurers.
Before coming to the Bar, Xuelin was a Special Counsel in the commercial litigation group of Clayton Utz. As a solicitor for 13 years, she acted in a variety of complex and large-scale disputes across Australian jurisdictions. Xuelin’s public law experience includes leading in-house litigation teams at Commonwealth government agencies on secondment.

Xuelin studied at the Australian National University as a national undergraduate scholar. She was also awarded a summer research scholarship and has studied at the University of California, Berkeley. She read with Christopher Archibald KC. Her senior mentor is Peter Murdoch KC.
