The members and staff of List A congratulate Simon Steward QC on his appointment to the Federal Court of Australia on 30 November 2017. He commences in the Melbourne Registry on 1 February 2018.
Simon came to the Bar in 1999, following a successful career at Mallesons Stephen Jacques, and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2009. Whilst his primary areas of focus at the Bar have been taxation and revenue law, he has also made a significant contribution in administrative law, constitutional law, commercial law, corporations and securities law and banking and finance law.
Simon’s appointment further enhances List A’s reputation as Australia’s leading list of commercial and public law barristers.
