About Alice

Alice has deep experience in competition and consumer law, infrastructure access and economic regulation.

She also accepts briefs in a wide range of other commercial and public law matters.

Alice acts for and against regulators such as the ACCC and ASIC in relation to investigations (including compulsory examinations), litigation and advice work. Her work in these areas includes work on matters concerning merger clearance, misuse of market power, civil and criminal cartel conduct (including immunity applications) and other anticompetitive agreements, third party infrastructure access, misleading advertising and unconscionable conduct. She also advises on private litigation in these areas. Her experience in these types of matters includes experience in agricultural, energy, entertainment, food, financial services, infrastructure, manufacturing, maritime, mining, retail, technology, telecommunications, transport and logistics industries.

Alice recently acted in Australia’s first criminal trial (and first jury trial) regarding cartel conduct, CDPP v The Country Care Group and Others.

Prior to becoming a barrister, Alice was a partner in Ashurst’s competition practice.

Alice has experience in litigation before the Australian Competition Tribunal, the Federal Court and the High Court, including appellate work.

Alice read with Stephen Parmenter KC and her senior mentor was Michel O’Bryan KC (now Justice O’Bryan).
