Ian has a broad practice in commercial law, including contract disputes, corporations and securities, insurance and re-insurance, trade practices and consumer protection, unit and discretionary trusts, banking and finance, corporate insolvency and reconstruction, managed investment schemes and property.

Ian appears in the Supreme Court and in the Federal Court.  Prior to coming to the Bar, Ian was a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques. There he practised in commercial law including mergers and acquisitions, and providing company and commercial advice for listed companies.
