Alexia practises in all areas of commercial and public law, including trade practices, class actions and regulatory matters. She also advises and appears in matters involving constitutional, administrative, planning and environment law.

Alexia also has experience advising on and appearing in commissions and inquiries. She was briefed for the State of Victoria in the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, led by Claire Harris S.C.

Before coming to the Bar, Alexia was a Senior Legal Adviser in the Office of the General Counsel at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. In 2015 she was seconded to the Royal Commission into Family Violence. Alexia was previously an Associate at Baker & McKenzie and Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Maxwell AC, then President of the Court of Appeal.

In the UK, Alexia worked at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and at ClientEarth, a European environmental law NGO, where she led a project on directors’ liability for climate change-related financial risk.

Alexia holds a first class honours degree from the University of Melbourne. She completed a Master of Laws at the London School of Economics and Political Science and was awarded the Lawyers’ Alumni Prize for achieving the highest overall mark in the LLM.

Alexia read with Paul Liondas S.C. Her senior mentor is Rowena Orr QC.

Alexia was a member of the Victorian Bar Pro Bono Committee from 2019-20 and has undertaken pro bono work for ClientEarth, WEstjustice, the Consumer Action Law Centre and the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency
