Selena practises primarily in public and commercial law.
Before coming to the Bar, Selena was an Associate at the High Court (Gageler J), an Associate at the Federal Court (Robertson J) and Counsel Assisting the Solicitor-General of the Commonwealth (Dr Stephen Donaghue KC). She also worked at the Victorian Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants and as a Senior Lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor.
Most recently, Selena worked at an international environmental NGO, advising governments in treaty negotiations and working on cases before the International Court of Justice and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
Selena has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from the ANU, where she graduated first in her law cohort. She also has a Master of Laws from Harvard University. She has taught various courses in private and public law at the ANU and the University of Melbourne.
