We are delighted to announce that the Victorian Government has today appointed Catherine Button QC as a Judge of the Supreme Court Of Victoria.

Her Honour came to the Bar in 2007 where she practised in corporate, commercial, regulatory and tax law.  She was appointed Senior Counsel in 2018.  Prior to coming to the Bar, Her Honour was a Senior Associate in the Commercial Disputes division of Minter Ellison, and also worked in law reform in the United Kingdom. Her Honour holds a doctorate and BCL from the University of Oxford where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. She is also the author of a book on international trade law (The Power to Protect: Trade, Health and Uncertainty in the WTO), has published articles in journals including the Australian Bar Review and taught contract law at the University of Oxford.
