Darren is a MBA qualified, professional services executive, with a demonstrated knowledge of the legal industry having 20+ years’ experience across Australia, UK, Europe and Asia working with Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), and in his own consultancy.
Prior to establishing his own professional services consultancy practice, Darren led the business development function for HSF covering the Asia Pacific region, along with the global Disputes practice group, forming part of their executive management team.
Darren brings to List A a wealth of experience in the legal industry, covering business planning and strategy, stakeholder and client relationship management, executive coaching and facilitation, project delivery and team leadership.

Caroline has joined List A with more than 12 years’ experience working in-house at a large multinational company and at a global professional services firm. After completing her LL.B, B.Comm in 1998, Caroline worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, specialising in taxation. Caroline then took up a role with Foster’s Group Limited as a business adviser in Foster’s taxation team.
Caroline brings a wealth of commercial experience, both as an adviser and provider of legal services and as a consumer of legal services, to the team at List A and to solicitors enquiring about barristers’ skills and availability.

John FitzGerald has worked as Financial Controller of List A since 2008. He previously worked for various overseas and Australian companies, including Black & Decker, Interbath/Otter Fasteners, Franklin Mint and Australian National Line. John has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having completed his CA training at KPMG.

Malav has been working for barristers’ clerks for 12 years and every day brings a new challenge to the role. His role as an accounts manager involves acting as an accounting co-ordinator between barristers and solicitors, a role that requires not only the basic, tangible pre-requisites such as the appropriate academic qualifications and levels of training, but also intangible qualities such as effective resource management, prioritised task-loading and timely execution of duties. Malav completed his Masters of Accounting in 2006 from Central Queensland University, Rockhampton.

Kathy has 30 years’ experience in the banking and finance sector of which 20 years was in Credit Management. She brings a wealth of experience in Credit Recovery to her role in Accounts. Kathy works Monday, Wednesday and Friday and can be contacted between 8.30am – 5pm.

Amanda brings over 20 years of reception, administrative and secretarial experience in the legal sector to List A. Her previous experience includes working with the Attorney General of Victoria and with some of Australia’s top-tier law firms. Amanda is responsible for the smooth and professional operation of our front desk.
