Chambers & Partners releases rankings for the Australian Bar for 2026 – Dispute Resolution

Chambers & Partners has released its rankings for the Australian Bar for 2026. We are thrilled that once again List A Barristers was ranked as Band 1 for Dispute Resolution in Australia.

Chambers & Partners writes:

“List A Barristers is a leading Melbourne list, run from offices in Owen Dixon Chambers, and is highlighted for taking on hardcore, high-level commercial litigation. One source remarks on its “market-leading expertise in just about anything” and this judgment is supported by the list’s standout position in these rankings. It has more than 180 members, who advise and advocate on issues arising in Australian and many foreign jurisdictions, including a star of the Victorian Bar and many other highly regarded advocates offering cutting-edge expertise in, among others, the competition, construction, defamation, employment, insolvency, intellectual property and tax arenas. Deputy clerk Caroline Kaskani is a key contact.”

Seven List A Barristers were named in the Dispute Resolution category, with Allan Myers AC KC being ranked with the highest recognition of “Senior Statespeople”.

Chambers & Partners writes of Allan Myers AC KC:

Allan Myers KC continues to be identified as one of the most respected practitioners at the Victorian Bar in general and as one of Australia’s pre-eminent appellate silks in particular, with sources emphasising his commercial astuteness and the weight his submissions carry with the Bench. In addition to his appearances on high-profile, high-stakes domestic litigation mandates, he has impressive knowledge of the international arbitration scene. “Allan is clearly one of the best.””

Neil Young KC is ranked as a “Star Individual”. Wendy Harris KC is ranked in Band 1. Silks Dr Matt Collins KCMichael Borsky KCJonathon Redwood SC, and Junior Caryn van Proctor are also recognised in the rankings.

Chambers notes in relation to Neil Young KC that he is a go-to silk for all complex competition and consumer matters. His analysis and advocacy are superb, as is his manner with clients.
