The Members and staff of List A congratulate Christopher Tran SC on his appointment by the NSW Bar Association President Dominic Toomey SC as Senior Counsel effective today (2 October 2026).
Chris practises in commercial and public law, including competition law, contract disputes, trade practices and consumer protection, constitutional law and administrative law.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Chris was a Solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons in 2011 and again from March 2013 to July 2013 in the dispute resolution team. He was Associate to Justice K M Hayne of the High Court of Australia from March 2012 to March 2013.
We wish Chris well as he assumes his new role.
