List A congratulates Lisa Nichols QC and Fiona Batten on their appointments as Counsel Assisting and Junior Counsel in the Royal Commission into Mental Health

The members and staff of List A Barristers take great pleasure in congratulating Lisa Nichols QC and Fiona Batten on their recent appointment as Counsel Assisting and junior counsel respectively, in the Royal Commission into Mental Health.

Lisa Nichols QC has been appointed as Counsel Assisting and Fiona Batten has been appointed as Lisa’s junior, together with Georgina Coghlan. The Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System is the first of its kind in Australia. The aim of the Royal Commission is to make recommendations in the hope they will vastly improve Victoria’s mental health services. It will report within two years of establishment.
