List A is thrilled to announce that the Hon Chris Kourakis AC SC has joined List A.
Chris served as a judge of the Supreme Court of South Australia from 2008 and was Chief Justice from 2012 until retiring from the bench earlier in 2026. Prior to his call to the bench, Chris was Solicitor-General for South Australia from 2003–2008 and took Silk in 1997.
While Chris will continue to hold interstate chambers, he will be available to act as a Mediator, Arbitrator, on Commissions and Expert Determinations here in Victoria.
