The Members and staff of List A congratulate Helen Rofe S.C., Lachlan Armstrong S.C. and Pat Zappia S.C on their appointments as Senior Counsel on 26 November 2014.
Helen has extensive experience in intellectual property law in particular litigious patent matters both in the Federal Court and the Patent Office. She also has experience in breach of confidence, copyright, trade mark, misleading and deceptive conduct and design matters. Helen is a Board Member of List A Barristers and a past President of IPSANZ.
Lachlan has particular experience in complex representative proceedings or “class actions”, having advised or appeared in more than 50 class actions since 1998, in most Australian jurisdictions and covering a very wide range of practice areas.
Pat has developed a diversified commercial practice in both appellate and trial work. Pat has appeared as counsel in many large, complex and high profile commercial disputes throughout Australia including disputes involving company takeovers, competition law, revenue law, insurance law, professional negligence and trusts.
