We are thrilled to announce that Benjamin Lancaster, Sasha Dawson, Lucy Cameron, Audrey Driscoll, Emma Ffrench-Mullen, and Ellen Leishman have joined List A Barristers following their successful completion of the Readers’ Course and admission to the Roll of the Victorian Bar.

Benjamin Lancaster
Before coming to the Bar, Ben was an Of Counsel in the Taxation team at Jones Day. Prior to that role, Ben was a Senior Associate at Clayton Utz, where he worked in the Taxation and Commercial Litigation teams.
Ben was also previously employed in the Legal Services Branch of the Australian Taxation Office. In that role, Ben developed substantial experience in debt and insolvency issues relating to tax matters, including in director penalties, bankruptcy, corporate insolvency, and debt claims.
Ben holds a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University. Ben is a Fellow of The Tax Institute and a member of the International Fiscal Association.
Ben is reading with Andrew Roe. His senior mentor is Melanie Baker KC.

Sasha Dawson
Before coming to the Bar, Sasha was Counsel Assisting the Solicitor-General of Victoria, and a principal solicitor in the constitutional law and advice team at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office.
Sasha was also a senior legal adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet; a solicitor in litigation at Corrs Chambers Westgarth; and the associate to the Hon Justice Pritchard in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
Sasha holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (French) from the University of Western Australia, where she was awarded multiple academic prizes.
Sasha is reading with Timothy Goodwin and her senior mentor is Kathleen Foley SC.

Lucy Cameron
Before coming to the Bar, Lucy was a senior lawyer in the In-House Counsel and Civil Regulation teams at the Australian Government Solicitor, where she appeared for and advised Commonwealth clients in a diverse range of matters. Lucy was seconded to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and acted for the Commonwealth in the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide.
Prior to this, Lucy was an Associate to the Hon Justice Middleton AM of the Federal Court of Australia and a solicitor in the Ashurst employment team.
Lucy holds a Master of Philosophy in Law from the University of Oxford where she was a St Catherine’s College Graduate Scholar in Law and completed a thesis on the role of statutes in the conflict of laws. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.
Lucy is reading with Anna Lord. Her senior mentor is Tamieka Spencer Bruce SC.
On joining the bar Lucy will practise primarily in public and commercial law. She will also accept briefs in employment and industrial law. Audrey Driscoll
Before coming to the Bar, Audrey was an Associate to the Hon Justice James Edelman at the High Court of Australia, and the Hon Justice Michael McDonald at the Supreme Court of Victoria. She was also a Principal Lawyer in Constitutional Law at Crown Law Queensland, a Senior Lawyer in the Constitutional Litigation Unit at Australian Government Solicitor, a Senior Solicitor in Litigation and Dispute Resolution at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office, and a Solicitor in Disputes at Herbert Smith Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer).
Audrey holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Tasmania, where she graduated first in her cohort and was awarded the University Medal in Law, as well as various subject prizes, including for remedies, administrative law, equity and trusts, corporations law, and international law. Audrey has taught Constitutional Law and Evidence Law at Monash University.

Emma Ffrench-Mullen
Before coming to the Bar, Emma was a senior associate at Arnold Bloch Leibler in the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team, where she worked on large-scale commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and proceedings, corporate insolvency litigation and class actions.
Emma was an associate to the Hon Justice Steward of the High Court of Australia and an associate to the Hon Justice O’Bryan of the Federal Court of Australia.
Emma holds a Master of Law (First Class) from the University of Cambridge. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) from Monash University.
Emma is reading with Georgie Coleman. Her senior mentor is Tamieka Spencer Bruce SC.

Ellen Leishman
Prior to coming to the Bar, Ellen was a Senior Associate at Baker McKenzie, where she advised entities including the ACCC, AER, VLSB+C and private commercial clients. Ellen practised in a variety of areas including competition and consumer law, white collar crime, regulatory investigations, employment and general commercial litigation.
Ellen was also an Associate to the Honourable Justice Snaden at the Federal Court of Australia and holds a Juris Doctor (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (History and International Relations) from the University of Melbourne.
Ellen is reading with Tim Farhall and her senior mentor is Ruth Shann SC.
